Dr. Julie Bernell has been in private practice since 1996. She loves being an Ob/Gyn and appreciates being able to care for women throughout different phases of their lives. Dr. Bernell believes the highest compliment that can be received from a patient is the referral of a friend or family member, and she feels rewarded to assist her patients’ mothers, daughters and sisters with their health and wellness needs. A dedicated mother herself, Dr. Bernell’s compassion and sensitivity make her a caring doctor who listens to your concerns.
Dr. Bernell completed her residency and internship at Baylor College of Medicine in 1996 after graduating from Baylor College of Medicine in 1992. Before medical school, Dr Bernell graduated Cum Laude from Tufts University in Medford, Massachuttes with a Bachelor of Science degree with studies in Biopsychology.
Dr. Bernell has been recognized and awarded throughout her training and private practice. She received the award, Resident of the Year in 1993-1994, The Woman of Achievement award in 2000, America’s Top Obstetricians and Gynecologists award in 2004, 2005 and 2012.
Dr. Bernell is board certified with the American Board of Obstetrics and Gynecology. She is a member of the Montgomery County Medical Association and Texas Medical Association.

Jessica Monk, PA
Jessica Monk is the outstanding Physician Assistant (PA) at Northeast OB/GYN Associates since 2009. Working as a member of our health care team, Jessica prides herself in her exceptional diagnostic, therapeutic and preventive health care services.
Jessica graduated from Baylor College of Medicine with a Master of Science, Physician Assistant Studies in 2008. Before attending Baylor College of Medicine, Jessica graduated Summa Cum Laude from Ottawa University in Ottawa, Kansas with a Bachelor of Arts with studies in Biology in 1999. Jessica received her certification from The Texas Physician Assistant Board in 2009 and her license from The National Commission on Certification of Physician Assistants (NCCPA) in 2009. She is a member of The American Academy of Physician Assistants and The Texas Academy of Physician Assistants and The Robert Luchi Society-Baylor College of Medicine PA Society.
